Liaison Colleges are owned and operated by independent business people who are approved by the Franchiser. Successful applicants have the professional business skills to operate a Culinary College. Each applicant, once accepted, is given an exclusive territory to promote their business. They receive training on operating our software system, community services, marketing and advertising, hiring teachers, following the curriculum, human resources and the day-to-day running of the College.

Anyone interested should have business experience to go along with their interest in the hospitality business.

Quick Facts about Franchising

• Cost of establishing franchise: $100,000 to 250,000. (Franchise Fee: $50,000; Working Capital: $50,000)
• Royalties: 7%; Advertising fund: 3%
• Hours of operation: Monday to Friday, 8am to 10pm
• First opening was in November of 1996 in Mississauga
• Locations will be in a mall or stand alone building on street level. Approx. 4000 to 5500 square feet is required
• Number of employees: 4 to 6 people including owners
• Initial training at corporate location for 5 days, then another 5 days after you open. The first year there will be mandatory on-going training one to two times per month.
• 18 students per session in the morning, afternoon and evening
• The program duplicates the colleges’ practical training and takes just four months to complete
